PARIS, Jan 23 (Reuters) - Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu said on Friday he was triggering article 49.3 of the Constitution to force through parliament the expenditure part of the 2026 budget bill, a move that will likely trigger further votes of no confidence.
Lecornu earlier in the day survived two no-confidence motions that had been filed by hardleft and far right parties over his decision to ram through the income part of the budget without giving the National Assembly the final say.
