EU not preparing anti-coercive measures for now, European diplomat says

- EU leaders will not give a mandate on Thursday to prepare anti-coercive measures against possible U.S. tariffs, an EU diplomat told Reuters after U.S. President Donald Trump dropped his threat of higher tariffs over Greenland.

"The planned preparation of anti-coercive measures (ACI) is off the table for now," said the diplomat.

The diplomat also said the EU's Mercosur trade deal with Latin and South American countries would be provisionally applied once the first Mercosur country has ratified it, adding that was likely to be Paraguay in March.
