Talks with US should be based on Greenland's territorial integrity, Germany's Merz says

Jan 19 (Reuters) - Talks with the United States should always be based on Greenland's sovereignty and territorial integrity, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Monday.
"Denmark and the people of Greenland can count on our solidarity," he said at a press conference in Berlin.
He added that potential tariff increases would be paid by U.S. citizens, but would also harm the German and European economies.
