- Germany will decide on its level of defence spending after a June NATO summit, a government source told Reuters on Thursday.

Earlier, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said Berlin backed a demand by U.S. President Donald Trump for members of the defence alliance to increase defence spending to 5% of gross domestic product (GDP).

Wadephul had been speaking ahead of a meeting with his NATO counterparts in Antalya, Turkey.
