WASHINGTON, Feb 19 (Reuters) - Uncertainty around the impact of Trump administration policies including import tariffs and an immigration crackdown has eroded confidence in an economic outlook that started the year strong, Atlanta Federal Reserve President Raphael Bostic said on Wednesday.
"I had an outlook that 2025 would proceed at a very positive level. We'd see solid growth. We'd see inflation continue to move to 2%, we'd see labor markets stay solid," Bostic said on Yahoo Finance. "Now, all this potential change...means that the confidence bands, the precision of that estimate...has reduced somewhat and we'll just have to see how things play out."
