April 28 (Reuters) - The fire that broke out at Shell's Norco plant in Louisiana on Monday evening has been extinguished, a company spokesperson said on Tuesday.
"There were no injuries, and monitoring will continue as a precaution until an all clear is confirmed," the Shell spokesperson added.
The Shell Norco plant houses a 231,827 barrel‑per‑day refinery, along with chemicals facilities.
According to a local media report, the fire was sparked by a hydrogen and gas leak, which Reuters could not independently verify.
