MILAN, March 31 (Reuters) - QatarEnergy, which has a long-term contract to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Italy's Edison EDNn.MI, still needs to assess the impact of recent attacks by Iran on its plants, Edison's Chief Executive said on Tuesday.
CEO Nicola Monti said a pause in LNG supply by QatarEnergy, extended to mid-June, was mainly due to the block of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
The potential consequences of damages to the LNG plants of its gas suppliers were still unknown, he added.
