HOUSTON, March 25 (Reuters) - Nigeria has seen a spike in interest from buyers for its LNG cargoes as the conflict in the Middle East has created opportunities for the African country because of its location and size of reserves, Nigerian National Petroleum Company EVP Olalekan Ogunleye said Wednesday at the CERAWeek conference in Houston.
NNPC has begun discussions about adding two trains to its LNG plant, Ogunleye said, adding that the company wants to build a 12 million ton per annum LNG plant and gas-based industrial hubs to utilize its reserves of over 200 trillion cubic feet of gas.
