BRUSSELS, March 13 (Reuters) - European Council President Antonio Costa said the unilateral decision by the United States to waive sanctions on Russia oil exports is very concerning because it impacts European security.
"Increasing economic pressure on Russia is decisive for it to accept a serious negotiation for a just and lasting peace," Costa said in a post on X.
The United States on Thursday issued a 30-day waiver for countries to buy sanctioned Russian oil and petroleum products currently stranded at sea.
