US energy chief says he will OK future posts after errant Navy escort post

WASHINGTON, March 12 (Reuters) - U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright on Thursday took responsibility for a social media post from his account that incorrectly stated the U.S. Navy had escorted an oil tanker through the Strait of Hormuz.

Wright said in an interview with Fox News' "America's Newsroom" that it was the result of a miscommunication in his department and that in the future he would personally approve posts so that it does not happen again.
