North Sea Crude -Grades drop sharply as Middle East fears ease

- North Sea crude differentials dropped sharply on Tuesday as U.S. President Donald Trump's prediction the war in the Middle East could end soon pressured the wider oil market.

Indications are free on board (FOB) unless marked as cost, insurance and freight (CIF) or delivered at place.

  • There was no deal on Tuesday.

  • WTI Midland: There were several offers of which the lowest was from Mercuria, which offered March 23-27 CIF Rotterdam at dated Brent plus 77 cents. That worked out at dated Brent minus $1.15 a barrel on an FOB basis according to Reuters calculations, down from dated Brent plus $1.03 on Monday.

  • Brent: Mercuria offered March 26-28 at dated Brent plus $1.30 and withdrew the offer, which was lower than the last assessment.

  • Oil prices plunged over 13% on Tuesday after soaring to their highest levels since 2022 in the previous session pressured by Trump's prediction.
