BRUSSELS, March 3 (Reuters) - EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will likely discuss the problems with the Druzhba pipeline in a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Tuesday, a spokesperson said.
"This afternoon, President von der Leyen will have a call with President Zelenskiy and as often, of course, they will be speaking about energy security related items," the Commission spokesperson said.
Oil shipments to Hungary and Slovakia through the pipeline primarily operated by Russia have been suspended since January 27 following what Kyiv said was a Russian attack on pumping installations in western Ukraine, prompting a dispute within the European Union and efforts by Hungary to block new sanctions on Russia.
