Hapag-Lloyd: IMX service rerouted via Cape of Good Hope

BERLIN, March 1 (Reuters) - German shipping group Hapag-Lloyd is rerouting its IMX container shipping service that connects India and the Middle East with the Mediterranean via the Cape of Good Hope due to the security situation, it said on Sunday.
"Due to the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East region following the escalating military conflict, we have decided, in close coordination with our security partners, to pause future Trans-Suez sailings through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait for the time being," the company said on its website.
