March 1 (Reuters) - Danish shipper Maersk MAERSKb.CO plans to reroute its ships on the Middle East-India to Mediterranean and Middle East-India to East Coast U.S. routes around the Cape of Good Hope, it said in a statement on Sunday, citing the situation in the Middle East.
The shipping giant would pause future Trans-Suez sailings through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait for the time being and would continue acceptance of cargo to the Middle East area, it added.
