CHICAGO, Feb 6 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for soybeans were flat to down at elevators and processors in the U.S. Midwest on Friday, a spot check of locations showed, as futures rose for a fourth straight session.
The soybean basis rose at an elevator in Council Bluffs, Iowa and a processor in Des Moines, Iowa.
Corn futures fell at a river terminal in Davenport, Iowa.
Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures rose again after Wednesday comments by U.S. President Donald Trump about China buying more U.S. soybeans, traders said.
The rally motivated farmers to sell more crops this week, exerting pressure on the cash markets, according to analysts.
CBOT March soybeans SH26 settled 3 cents higher at $11.15-1/4 a bushel. CBOT March corn CH26 closed 4-3/4 cents lower at $4.30-1/4 per bushel.
