US Cash Grains-Corn and soybean basis bids flat to weaker at multiple locations

CHICAGO, Feb 5 (Reuters) - Basis bids for corn and soybeans were mostly steady to lower at elevators, ethanol plants, other kinds of processors, and river terminals in the U.S. Midwest on Thursday, as the commodities rallied on the Chicago Board of Trade.

The soybean basis fell by 10 points at a processor in Morristown, Indiana and by 15 points at a processor in Lafayette, Indiana.
It also ticked down at river terminals in Seneca, Illinois and Davenport, Iowa.
The corn basis fell at a processor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and an ethanol plant in Union City, Indiana.
Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures extended a rally on Thursday, after U.S. President Donald Trump said China had raised a target for U.S. soybean purchases under a trade truce. GRA/
