US Plains HRW Wheat-Basis bids steady as futures dip

CHICAGO, Feb 4 (Reuters) - Basis bids for hard red winter wheat were steady in the U.S. Southern Plains on Wednesday as futures fell.

• Dealers this week reported a largely quiet trade.

• Wetter weather forecast in the coming weeks would benefit the Southern Plains winter wheat crop, according to Commodity Weather Group.

• K.C. March HRW wheat futures KWH26 lost 4-1/4 cents at $5.30-1/2 per bushel as of 1:12 p.m. CST (1912 GMT).
