US Plains HRW Wheat-Basis bids flat as forecast warms in the Plains

CHICAGO, Feb 2 (Reuters) - Basis bids for hard red winter wheat were steady in the U.S. Plains on Monday after a week of severe winter weather, but snow cover kept the crop largely free from winterkill, according to forecasters.

• Warmer weather was forecast for the coming week, according to Vaisala.

• There are some winterkill risks for the Black Sea winter wheat crop, Vaisala said.

• K.C. March HRW wheat futures KWH26 traded flat at $5.35 per bushel as of midday.
