HOUSTON, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Motiva Enterprises restarted the large coker at its 640,500 barrel-per-day (bpd) Port Arthur, Texas refinery, said people familiar with plant operations on Wednesday.
The 110,000-bpd coker was taken out of production on Monday by a malfunction, the sources said. The coker converts residual crude oil into either motor fuel feedstocks or petroleum coke, which can be a substitute for coal.
