Jan 26 (Reuters) - Emirates Global Aluminium entered a joint development agreement with Century Aluminum to construct a new primary aluminum production plant in the United States, the company said on Monday.
EGA will own 60% of the joint venture, with Century controlling the remaining 40%. The planned facility is projected to produce 750,000 tonnes of aluminum annually, EGA said in a statement.
The project is expected to create 1,000 permanent jobs at the site and support 4,000 construction jobs, EGA added.
