CHICAGO, Jan 23 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures rose on Friday on hopes for demand from China and weather concerns in South America.
CBOT March soybeans SH26 settled up 3-3/4 cents at $10.67-3/4 cents per bushel.
CBOT March soymeal SMH26 closed up $3.70 at $299.90 per short ton.
CBOT March soyoil BOH26 rose 0.21 cent to 53.99 cents per pound.
Hopes for Chinese demand helped support the market, though the U.S. faces stiff competition for sales from South American suppliers, analysts said.
Weekly U.S. soybean export sales for 2025/26 were 2.4 million metric tons, compared to analysts' expectations of 1.5 million to 3 million metric tons. EXP/SOY
