New US sanctions hit Iran-related oil and gas entities, tankers

WASHINGTON, Jan 23 (Reuters) - The Trump administration issued a fresh round of Iran-related sanctions on Friday, targeting nine tankers and eight entities, according to a posting on the U.S. Treasury Department website.
The action comes after President Donald Trump on Thursday renewed threats against Iran, raising concerns over potential military action that could disrupt crude supplies.
