
NEW YORK, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Gasoline inventories in the U.S. rose about 5.98 million barrels last week to 256.99 million barrels, the highest since February 2021, data from the Energy Information Administration showed on Wednesday.
U.S. gasoline product supplied, a proxy for demand, fell 1.78 million barrels per day (bpd) to 21.01 million bpd, the lowest since January 2023, in the week ended January 16. Average gasoline product supplied over the past four weeks fell 109,000 bpd to 19.98 million bpd, lowest since January 2024, the EIA said.
