US has no plans to offer security guarantees to oil companies in Venezuela, Energy Secretary Wright tells Bloomberg News

Jan 22 (Reuters) - The United States has no plans to offer security guarantees to oil companies that plan to operate in Venezuela, Energy Secretary Chris Wright told Bloomberg News in an interview on Thursday.
"We are not going to get involved in providing on the ground security for people in Venezuela," Wright said, adding that since oil and gas companies operated all around the world they were well-versed in such challenges.
