LONDON, Jan 19 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline refinery profit margins rose by about 32 cents to $7.98 a barrel on Tuesday as strong liquidity in the Argus barge market continued.
About 20,000 metric tons of Eurobob E5 gasoline traded on barges in the Argus window after 26,000 tons traded on Monday. ExxonMobil, Equinor and Trafigura sold to BP, Shell and Varo.
An additional 24,000 tons of Eurobob E10 cargoes traded, the same volume as traded on Monday. TotalEnergies, ExxonMobil, Gunvor, BP and Phillips66 sold to Van Raak, MB Energy, Varo and BP.
TotalEnergies expects 2025 fourth-quarter results to be in line with the previous year as higher fuel refining margins and cash from selling stakes in renewable assets offset weaker oil and liquefied natural gas prices.
Meanwhile, EU-27 and UK gasoline and blending component exports to other regions have averaged 870,000 barrels per day so far in January, against 787,000 bpd over the whole of December.
