MOSCOW, Jan 19 (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has no plans to contact Venezuela's interim President Delcy Rodriguez in the near future, but could do so quickly if needed, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.
Russia and Venezuela continue to maintain regular contact at a diplomatic level, Peskov said.
Moscow has built close ties with Caracas in recent years, including with President Nicolas Maduro, who was seized by Washington earlier this month and flown to the U.S. to face drug charges he denies.
