Trump expresses support for Canada-China trade deal

WASHINGTON, Jan 16 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump on Friday expressed support for Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney after he reached a preliminary trade deal with China that will slash tariffs on electric vehicles and canola.
"That's what he should be doing. It's a good thing for him to sign a trade deal. If you can get a deal with China, you should do that," Trump told reporters at the White House.
