BEIJING, Jan 16 (Reuters) - China's commerce ministry confirmed on Friday that it would adjust trade measures against canola imports and other agricultural products from Canada, without giving details.
In a statement published on its website, the ministry also called Canada's decision to slash tariffs on Chinese EVs "a positive step in the right direction".
"According to latest adjustment, Canada will grant China an annual quota of 49,000 electric vehicles, which will enjoy a 6.1% most-favored-nation tariff within the quota and will no longer be subject to the 100% additional tariff," it said, adding the quota would rise each year by a certain proportion.
