Cook Islands says registration of Venezuela-linked tanker had been cancelled

Jan 14 (Reuters) - Oil tanker Min Hang, one of the vessels that departed from Venezuela in early January in a flotilla amid a U.S. blockade and later returned to the country, had its Cook Islands flag cancelled in late 2024, the country's maritime registry said on Wednesday.

"The vessel does not have the authority to fly our flag, and we hold no jurisdiction over its current operations," the ship registry said in a release.
