US Cash Grains-Corn and soybean basis bids stay steady

CHICAGO, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Basis bids for corn and soybeans were flat in the U.S. Midwest on Wednesday, spot checks showed.

Traders were starting to consider how this week's drop in crop prices would affect how many acres of corn and soybeans that farmers may plant in the spring.
Corn Cv1 and soybean Sv1 futures set October lows on Tuesday after the U.S. Department of Agriculture on Monday issued bigger-than-expected estimates for last year's U.S. harvests and 2025/26 ending stocks.
Farmer selling remained quiet, traders said.
