CHICAGO, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for U.S. corn and soybeans were flat to higher at grain elevators and processors in the U.S. Midwest on Wednesday as farmers delayed making sales, traders said.
Farmers stepped back from selling crops as prices have weakened since the U.S. department of Agriculture on Monday issued bigger-than-expected estimates for 2025/26 U.S. and world ending stocks for soybeans, corn and wheat.
A river terminal near Toledo, Ohio, hiked its corn basis bid by 10 cents per bushel.
In Cincinnati, Ohio, a grain elevator raised its corn basis bid by 2 cents and its soybean bid by 4 cents.
The U.S. soybean crush likely rose in December to the second-highest level on record, according to analysts surveyed ahead of a National Oilseed Processors Association report due on Thursday.
U.S. grain and soybean futures rose on the Chicago Board of Trade in a rebound from losses on Monday and Tuesday.
