- Following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CST (1430 GMT) on Wednesday:

WHEAT - Up 2 to 4 cents per bushel

  • CBOT grains rebounded after falling for the previous two sessions under pressure from bearish U.S. Department of Agriculture crop data released on Monday, analysts said.

  • An easing dollar and strength across commodity markets helped underpin grains, they said.

  • Most-active wheat futures Wv1 hovered around an October low reached this month after the USDA on Monday raised its forecasts of 2025/26 global and U.S. wheat ending stocks.

  • CBOT March soft red winter wheat WH26 was last up 3-1/2 cents at $5.14 per bushel. K.C. March hard red winter wheat KWH26 rose 3 cents to $5.22-1/2 per bushel, while Minneapolis March spring wheat MWEH26 was last 1-1/2 cents stronger at $5.68 per bushel.

CORN - Up 3 to 5 cents

  • CBOT corn Cv1 bounced after dropping on Tuesday to its lowest point since October 16.

  • The decline in prices encouraged heavy demand from Asian buyers, traders said.

  • Exporters sold 136,000 metric tons of U.S. corn to South Korea for 2025/26 delivery, the USDA confirmed in its daily reporting system.

  • The USDA on Monday surprised traders by estimating that U.S. farmers last year grew a record-large crop that topped expectations.

  • CBOT March corn CH26 was last 5 cents higher at $4.24-3/4 per bushel.

SOYBEANS - Up 9 to 11 cents

  • CBOT soybeans Sv1 recovered after falling to an October 23 low on Tuesday.

  • The USDA confirmed that exporters sold 334,000 metric tons of U.S. soybeans to China for 2025/26.

  • China, the world's biggest soybean buyer, imported a record volume of the oilseed last year. Buyers increased purchases from South America during Beijing's trade war with Washington.

  • Traders waited for the U.S. Supreme Court to rule on the legality of President Donald Trump's global tariffs.

  • The USDA unexpectedly raised its estimate for last year's U.S. soybean harvest on Monday and projected bigger-than-expected 2025/26 world ending stocks.

  • CBOT March soybeans SH26 were last up 9-3/4 cents at $10.48-1/2 per bushel.
