CHICAGO, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CST (1430 GMT) on Tuesday:
WHEAT - Down 1 to 3 cents per bushel
CBOT grain futures remained under pressure after the U.S. Department of Agriculture on Monday issued bearish crop data, analysts said.
The USDA raised its forecast of global 2025/26 wheat ending stocks to 278.25 million metric tons from 274.87 million last month, topping a range of analysts' estimates.
The agency also issued higher-than-expected estimates of 2025/26 U.S. ending stocks and U.S. winter wheat plantings for harvest this year.
In Russia, the IKAR consultancy raised the country’s 2025/26 wheat export potential, but warned the target may not be met due to crop problems in the south.
CBOT March soft red winter wheat WH26 was last down 1-3/4 cents at $5.09-1/2 per bushel. K.C. March hard red winter wheat KWH26 was last 4 cents lower at $5.22-3/4 per bushel, while Minneapolis March spring wheat MWEH26 was last up 3-1/4 cents at $5.69 per bushel.
CORN - Down 3 to 5 cents
CBOT corn Cv1 touched the lowest level since October 16.
The USDA on Monday surprised traders by estimating that U.S. farmers produced a record-breaking 17.021 billion bushels last year. That was up from the agency's December estimate, while traders had expected a decline.
The USDA said separately that quarterly U.S. corn stocks reached a record 13.282 billion bushels as of December 1, exceeding expectations.
CBOT March corn CH26 was last down 3-1/2 cents at $4.18 per bushel.
SOYBEANS - Down 4 to 6 cents
CBOT soybeans Sv1 hovered near an October low set this month.
The USDA on Monday raised its estimate for last year's U.S. soybean harvest to 4.262 billion bushels, surprising traders who on average expected a decline.
The agency reduced its U.S. export forecast for the current crop year and increased its estimate for 2025/26 world ending stocks.
On Tuesday, the USDA said that exporters sold 168,000 metric tons of U.S. soybeans to China and 152,404 metric tons of U.S. soybeans to Mexico, all for 2025/26 delivery.
CBOT March soybeans SH26 were last down 5 cents at $10.44 per bushel.
