Iran's army vows to safeguard national interests amid protests

Jan 10 (Reuters) - Iran's army vowed on Saturday to safeguard the country's national interests, strategic infrastructure and public property, amid widespread anti-government protests.
It also urged citizens in a statement to be vigilant to thwart what it called "the enemy's plots" as the protests continue.
