US Cash Grains-Corn basis mixed; soy little changed in muted trade

CHICAGO, Jan 8 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn were mixed and soy bids were flat in the U.S. Midwest on Thursday as farmers did little selling and dealers assessed broader market trends.

Market players are waiting for the U.S. Department of Agriculture to issue key data on global supplies and demand on January 12. Among other data, they will examine quarterly U.S. grain and soy stocks as of December 1.
Exporters sold 132,000 metric tons of soybeans to China for 2025/2026 delivery, the U.S. Department of Agriculture reported on Thursday morning.
As of midday, CBOT March corn CH26 was last up 1/2 cent to $4.47-1/4 a bushel, and March soybeans SH26 were down 3-1/4 cents to $10.63-3/4 a bushel.
