WASHINGTON, Jan 7 (Reuters) - A U.S. blockade of sanctioned Venezuelan oil remains in full effect "anywhere in the world," Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Wednesday.
President Donald Trump ordered a "blockade" of all sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela on Dec. 16. The U.S. is attempting to seize a Russian-flagged oil tanker with links to Venezuela after a more than 2-week-long pursuit across the Atlantic, two U.S. officials told Reuters on Wednesday.
