Valero Benicia refinery to produce gasoline through April, California Governor Newsom says

Jan 6 (Reuters) - California Governor Gavin Newsom on Tuesday said Valero Energy's VLO.N Benicia refinery will continue producing gasoline through April, and then continue importing gasoline into Northern California beyond April once the refinery fully idles.
Newsom's statement follows Valero Energy's VLO.N update that it will idle the refinery and continue to supply California's market through existing inventories and imports.
Valero was not immediately available for a comment.
