
Jan 2 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade corn futures ticked down slightly on Friday on a day of thin post-holiday trade, but the brisk pace of U.S. exports kept a floor under prices, according to analysts.
Trade continued to be limited as many market players took an extra day off between the weekend and New Year holiday, analysts said.
The USDA reported exporters sold 132,000 metric tons of corn to South Korea for 2025/2026 delivery.
A Reuters poll of analysts estimated corn export sales for 2025/26 delivery in the week ended December 25 at 700,000-1,500,000 metric tons.
CBOT March corn CH26 settled 2-3/4 cents lower at $4.37-1/2 per bushel.
