LONDON, Jan 2 (Reuters) - 5Northwest European gasoline refinery profit margins fell by 18 cents to $9.09 a barrel on Friday as inventories of the motor fuel rose on both sides of the Atlantic.
About 10,000 metric tons of Eurobob E5 gasoline traded on barges in the Argus window as Equinor, Trafigura and Glencore sold to Gunvor and BP.
Another 8,000 tons of Eurobob E10 gasoline barges traded in the session, with Shell selling to Varo and TotalEnergies.
Gasoline stocks independently held in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage hub rose by 15% on the week to their highest in eight months, data from Dutch consultancy Insights Global showed.
Gasoline inventories climbed to 1.26 million metric tons, as export loadings slowed during the holiday period, Insights Global's Lars van Wageningen said.
U.S. gasoline stocks USOILG=ECI rose by 5.8 million barrels last week to 234.3 million barrels, the Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 1.9 million-barrel build.
Meanwhile, EU-27 and UK gasoline exports to other regions have averaged 729,000 barrels per day in December, down from 903,000 bpd across the full month of November. Average exports in 2025 reached 957,000 bpd, nearly 13% lower than the previous year.
