
SINGAPORE, Jan 2 (Reuters) - Onshore fuel oil stockpiles in Singapore climbed above 26 million barrels during the final week of 2025, well above average for the year, data showed on Friday.
Inventories rose to 26.75 million barrels (about 4.21 million metric tons) in the week to December 31, up 4% from the previous week, data from Enterprise Singapore showed. O/SING1
Fuel oil inventories averaged 22.8 million barrels a week during 2025, compared with 19.7 million barrels in 2024, historical data showed.
p>A persistent influx of supplies had capped market recovery, with both high-sulphur and low-sulphur markets ending 2025 on a bearish note.
During the final week of the year, fuel oil inflows to onshore storage sites climbed 27.1% to more than 1 million tons, with Brazil as the top origin, Enterprise Singapore data showed.
Meanwhile, fuel oil outflows from Singapore tanks fell by 33.9% to about 337,000 tons, with most volumes headed for China.
