- Following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CST (1430 GMT) on Wednesday:

NOTE: Trade in CBOT grain and soy futures will close at the normal time on Wednesday. U.S. markets will be closed on Thursday for the New Year's Day holiday with CBOT trade resuming on Friday at 8:30 a.m. CST (1430 GMT).

WHEAT - Down 1 to 2 cents per bushel

  • Wheat futures seen inching lower for a fourth straight session in thin technical trade, anchored by ample global grain supplies.

  • The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported net export sales of U.S. 2025-26 wheat in the week ended December 18 at 147,800 metric tons, toward the low end of trade expectations.

CORN - Down 1/2 to 1 cent per bushel

  • Corn futures drifted lower in early moves, awaiting fresh direction. Expectations of large South American harvests hang over the market. Strong weekly export sales data may lend support.

  • The USDA reported net export sales of U.S. 2025-26 corn in the week ended December 18 at 2.2 million metric tons, topping a range of trade expectations for 1 million to 2 million tons.

SOYBEANS - Down 2 to 3 cents per bushel

  • The USDA reported net export sales of U.S. 2025-26 soybeans in the week ended December 18 at 987,100 metric tons, below a range of trade expectations for 1.4 million to 2.4 million tons.

  • The CBOT reported 1,062 deliveries against the January SF26 soybean futures contract on first notice day, with no strong commercial stoppers. The CBOT reported seven deliveries against January soyoil BOF26 futures and no deliveries against January soymeal SMF26 futures. SOY/DEL MEAL/DEL SBO/DEL

  • CBOT March soybeans SH26 were last down 3 cents at $10.59-1/4 per bushel.
