Russia's Lavrov discusses escalation in Caribbean with Venezuelan counterpart, Foreign Ministry says

MOSCOW, Dec 22 (Reuters) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Venezuelan counterpart Yvan Gil "expressed serious concern over Washington's escalating actions in the Caribbean Sea" in a phone call on Monday, Russia's Foreign Ministry said.
"The Russian side has confirmed its comprehensive support and solidarity with the leadership and people of Venezuela," it said in a statement.
