
CHICAGO, Dec 12 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures closed lower on Friday on plentiful global grain supplies and a lack of supportive news, traders said.
CBOT March soft red winter wheat WH26 settled down 4-1/4 cents at $5.29-1/4 per bushel.
For the week, the contract fell 6-1/2 cents a bushel or 1.2% to post its sixth consecutive weekly decline.
K.C. March hard red winter wheat KWH26 ended down 4-1/4 cents at $5.18 a bushel and Minneapolis March spring wheat MWEH26 fell 1/2 cent to finish at $5.75-3/4 a bushel.
Spillover weakness from CBOT corn and soybean futures added to bearish sentiment.
Ahead of backdated export sales data due from the U.S. Department of Agriculture on Monday, traders expect the agency to report export sales of U.S. wheat in the week ended November 20 at 300,000 to 750,000 metric tons.
