
Dec 8 (Reuters) - The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said on Monday it has observed no abnormalities at the Fukushima nuclear power plant site after a powerful 7.6-magnitude earthquake shook northeastern Japan.
The earthquake prompted tsunami warnings and orders to about 90,000 residents to evacuate. As a precautionary measure, the discharge of treated water from the Advanced Liquid Processing System (ALPS) was suspended at 11:42 p.m. (1442 GMT), the IAEA said in a post on X.
