SUBMARINES FOR POLAND
Poland said on Wednesday it had chosen Sweden's Saab SAABb.ST to supply it with three submarines, in a multi-billion-dollar deal that forms a key element of Warsaw's efforts to bolster its defences in the Baltic Sea.
APACHE HELICOPTERS
Boeing BA.N said on Wednesday it will produce AH-64E Apache attack helicopters for international customers, including 96 for the Polish Armed Forces, under a U.S. Army foreign military sales contract worth nearly $4.7 billion.
SAFE PROGRAM
Poland is ready with projects worth 60 billion euros and will submit projects worth 43.7 billion euros "on the main list" to the EU, the Polish government's representative for the SAFE program said. Poland's intention is to ensure that as much of these funds as possible remain in the Polish arms industry, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
ENERGA
Polish state-controlled refiner Orlen PKN.WA said on Wednesday it plans to buy out the remaining shares in its utility unit Energa ENG.WA to take full ownership, with a price tag of about 709 million zlotys ($189 million).
CD PROJEKT
Poland's biggest game developer CD Projekt CDR.WA on Wednesday reported a 148% year-on-year rise in third-quarter net profit compared with the previous year thanks to strong sales of games from its back catalogue, mainly "Cyberpunk 2077" and its "Phantom Liberty" expansion.
