US Cash Grains-Corn basis mixed, soy lower in sluggish trade

CHICAGO, Nov 26 (Reuters) - Basis bids for corn were mixed and soy bids were steady to lower in the U.S. Midwest on Wednesday in slow trade ahead of Thursday's Thanksgiving holiday.

• Movement has been slow and processing margins weaker.

• Markets will be closed on Thursday.

• The oilseed market remained underpinned by further indications of Chinese demand, with traders telling Reuters that China bought at least 10 cargoes of U.S. soybeans since Tuesday.

• That followed a call on Monday between presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping, during which Trump said he had pressed Xi to accelerate and increase Beijing's purchases of U.S. goods.

• Chicago Board of Trade March corn CH26 was last up 6-1/2 cents to $4.45 a bushel and January soybeans SF26 were 6-1/2 cents higher to $11.31-1/4 a bushel. GRA/
