Israel did not notify US in advance about Beirut strike, senior official tells Axios

WASHINGTON, Nov 23 (Reuters) - A senior U.S. official said Israel did not notify the United States in advance about its strike targeting a Hezbollah militant in a Beirut suburb, an Axios reporter said on Sunday in a post on X.
The official said the administration was informed immediately after the strike and a second senior U.S. official said the U.S. knew for days that Israel was planning to escalate strikes in Lebanon, the post said.
