ReutersNov 18, 2025 2:29 PM

- Following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CST (1430 GMT) on Tuesday.

WHEAT - Up 1 to 2 cents per bushel

  • Wheat futures head higher in technical moves, buoyed by early strength in soybeans and corn. Ample world grain supplies may limit rallies.

  • December soft red winter wheat WZ25 was last up 2 cents at $5.46-1/4 per bushel. K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ25 was last up 1 cent at $5.29-3/4 a bushel, and Minneapolis December wheat MWEZ25 was last up 3/4 cent at $5.74-1/2 a bushel.

CORN - Up 1 to 2 cents per bushel

  • Corn futures firm for a second straight session on bargain-buying after last week's dip that was tied to USDA's smaller-than-expected cut to its U.S. corn yield estimate.

  • CBOT December corn CZ25 was last up 2 cents at $4.36-3/4 per bushel.

SOYBEANS - Mixed, up 1 cent to down 3 cents per bushel

  • Soybean futures pared gains ahead of the daily pause in trade on profit-taking after the most-active contract Sv1 hit $11.69-1/2 per bushel, its highest level since June 2024. Market buoyed by news that China booked significant purchases of U.S. soybeans.

  • The U.S. Department of Agriculture confirmed sales of 792,000 metric tons of U.S. soybeans to China for delivery in the 2025/26 marketing year that began on September 1.

  • Chinese state-owned grain trader COFCO bought at least 14 cargoes of U.S. soybeans on Monday, around 840,000 metric tons, for shipment in December and January, traders told Reuters.

  • A cargo of Argentine soybean meal cleared Chinese customs, two China-based traders said, marking the first such shipment since Beijing approved such imports in 2019 and signalling a new trade channel with the world's top soymeal exporter.

  • The National Oilseed Processors Association said on Monday that its members crushed a record-high 227.6 million bushels of soybeans in October, up 13.9% from a year earlier. The figure topped a range of trade expectations.

  • January soybeans SF26 were last up 1/4 cent at $11.57-1/2 per bushel.
