US Energy Dept awards contracts for one million barrels of crude oil for strategic reserve

Nov 12 (Reuters) - The U.S. Energy Department said on Wednesday that it had awarded contracts to buy one million barrels of crude oil for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
The contracts awarded are for deliveries in December and January to the Bryan Mound site, the Energy Department said in a statement.
