Nov 7 (Reuters) - Mexican state oil company Pemex reported a "containment loss" on a 36-inch (91.44 cm) gas pipeline near its Atasta gas processing center on Thursday.
Pemex said in a Facebook post that it was responding to the leak and currently no injuries, environmental damage, or harm to the community have been reported.
Atasta is located in the Mexican state of Campeche.
Pemex was not immediately available for comment outside regular office hours.
The company implemented its contingency plan, shutting down wells in the Cantarell Asset and compression equipment at Atasta to halt the leak, stemming from low pressure in pneumatic pumping gas, it said in the post.
Pemex also said it had activated its Regional Emergency Response and Management Group in accordance with emergency protocols.
